Our History

My Cup Overflows – Surely goodness & kindness will follow me all the days of my life” Psalm 23:5-6

I know two carpenters. I know Jesus and I know Jon. We consider the Carpenter’s Cup our ministry. We are retired grandparents and have owned this building for several years. Hubacher Builders worked out of the back of the building for two generations. Now it’s Jon’s Woodworking shop. The building itself is over a hundred years old and was originally a Pure Oil Station. When asked why we opened a coffee shop, since we weren’t exactly spring chickens, Jon answered, “No one told us we couldn’t!”

Today, the Carpenter’s Cup blends the rich history of our building with the welcoming, inviting spirit we hold dear. Original woodwork, traces of its past as a Pure Oil Station, and Jon’s handcrafted touches breathe life into every corner. Each cup of coffee is a nod to the skill and care that has shaped this building over the years. We invite you to pull up a chair, sip something made with love, and feel at home in this special place where the past and present meet.
